Meet Marnee

I must admit, I find it really hard to introduce myself. I feel strongly that by spending a few minutes browsing through my images you will get a glimpse into who I am and what I enjoy doing.

I started Marriott Photography in 2000 as a wedding photographer. That first year, I photographed 25 weddings. The second year, 55. Business boomed again, and I found myself working every weekend - at least one weekend night!

2004 brought on a lot of change... my oldest son was born, we converted from the days of medium format film to a digital studio, we began shooting more and more newborn, family, and lifestyle portraits, and most importantly, we started limiting the number of weddings we booked.

We are a full-service boutique studio. Our studio specializes in the couture client who wants a full service experience from planning the perfect outfit and location, to a fun, relaxed, creative session, to an in-home consultation to help guide and direct her in making her final product selections.

To me, photography is more than just capturing a great image. It is getting to know my clients and their story and sharing that with others. It is creating images that show emotion and relationships, rather than just posed, stale groupings. It is about enhancing an image to make it magical and bring out the inner beauty of the photograph. It is about constantly finding new and fresh products and display options to provide unique options to my clients.

Photography is my passion and I feel blessed to be able to share it with my family, friends, and amazing clients.

But my family is my true love. I didn't get into photography "because I loved taking pictures of my kids and wanted to share that with everyone else..." In fact, out of my three kids, my daughter is the only one that has ONE (yes ONE) newborn photo!

I learned the hard way that you can't do it all. I had the best of intentions to photograph my newborns, but I should have hired another photographer to take care of this for me.

I desperately am trying harder to capture my children, but when I walk away from work, I enjoy putting the camera down and being with them.

We love to play games, swim, travel, go to Disneyland, go on road trips, hang at the beach, play lots of soccer, baseball, and basketball, hike (although the camera does come out quite a bit on hikes), dance, watch The Amazing Race and SYTYCD together, and just be goofy!

I enjoy reading a good adventure/thriller whenever I have some down time, and I follow a lot of TV shows during my late nights editing.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy what you see!
