Kursty + Colton: New Mexico Wedding

Kursty and Colton met at school (USU). She is applying to nursing school and he is working towards his MBA. Kursty is very excited and proud to have her reception take place in her own back yard. She has grown up watching other weddings there and now it is finally her turn!

Kursty wanted to show the guests where she came from and chose a vintage, country chic theme to inspire her wedding details. Her favorite elements were the bright yellow flowers, dessert bar, and lantern centerpieces. I have to agree! I loved seeing the fun, happy, colors of this wedding, and the casual hometown feel of having the reception out on the family farm! It was my first experience in New Mexico, and I was very excited to be a part of it! The weather was gorgeous, the backdrop beautiful, and the family just amazing to work with! Jenna + Dave

Dave’s sister is Jenna’s best friend starting their freshman year in high school. It wasn’t until Jenna joined Dave’s family on a week long vaacation on Lake Powell that she started to have some interest in him. Their first date was Junior Prom and the rest is history!

Her aqua and yellow color scheme was perfect for this fun, fresh, casual wedding at the Hotel Valley Ho. I loved how she included hearts into so many of her wedding details.

Kursty + Colton: The Bridal Session

I’m looking forward to this wedding next week in New Mexico on their farm. It was great to get to know them a bit better during our bridal session. They were so fun and major props to Kursty for jumping into the water in her wedding dress a week BEFORE her wedding!!!! This is my kind of bride!

Cheri + Dusty, Destination: Sedona

Dusty and Cheri were married on April 9… on a COLD and wet day… Everything turned out really nice, but we sure didn’t want to spend too much time outdoors getting pictures, and PICTURES was what Cheri wanted to make sure we had. Fortunately, we discussed heading up to Sedona to do some bridal portraits after the wedding! I got to spend the day with Cheri and Dusty last week driving through Sedona and the canyons, and just love how much Cheri wanted to do! It is always fun to do these sessions after the wedding, when you really don’t mind if your dress gets a little dirty. (OK, a lot!)
