First of all, a BIG THANK YOU to Leanne! She was the perfect model and soooo easy to work with! Plus, it didn’t hurt that she is absolutely gorgeous and quite photogenic… so it really did make my job easier!
Bridal Boudoir portraits have become more popular this last year or two, and to be perfectly honest, I’m excited to jump in and try my hand. I usually shoot on location and love to shoot in natural light as much as possible. One, because natural light truly is gorgeous and flattering, but also, because it is much easier.
One of the most exciting elements of these boudoir sittings, for me, is working with light to create sexy and seductive light and shadows. Light is so powerful and really truly creates such different moods.
I was a little nervous about my first shoot - how to work the light in the most flattering and dramatic ways. But, Leanne was such a great model, and LaTricia was such a huge help with ideas, lighting, and support. Thank you both! And thank you, Jennifer, for all your on-location lighting and posing help! :)
So the idea behind the bridal boudoir sitting is to create romantic, sexy, yet tasteful and classy images to present to your husband as a wedding gift. Wow… what a treat! We can create albums, portfolios, or canvas wraps of these images - however you would like to present the gift.
Anyway, I would love to hear your thoughts about these sittings… is it something you would do? If you would like to check out a few of the images we got from Leanne’s shoot, check out the following post and use the password, BOUDOIR. I wanted to keep it private from any readers who would prefer not to see these images.
