The colors, the smile, the age… these series of images just make me HAPPY!!!! She is such a cutie pie and mom has her spoiled rotten with the cutest clothes ever! I can’t believe a whole year has gone by since we did her newborn pictures. Wow!!!!

As Murphy’s Law would have it, this fun couple came to warm and sunny AZ to escape the cold Kansas winter for a “tropical” engagement photo session on the ONE day that it was freezing cold, rainy, and gray skies! They wanted something to set the tone for their destination wedding in Florida later this year. Well, I suppose rain is tropical, so we went with it! And for what we had to work with, I’m loving these images!

Everyone spends a lot of time planning out the little details of her wedding to make it different, unique, and memorable. There are really only so many ways you can customize a wedding day, yet it is those tiny distinctions that I love to see and capture. I love to find all the elements that make each wedding unique and truly one of a kind. With that being said, after 15 years of photographing weddings, they do tend to all blend together. However, there are just some weddings that really leave an impression on you and ones you will never forget! And, this, my friends, is one of them!
One of my favorite moments of the day was getting Reggie out the door to meet his beautiful bride, Katie… I’m waiting… and waiting… and waiting… and can only imagine what Katie is thinking at this moment waiting for us both outside. When he finally comes out, he has a brand new camera in hand… ready to take some pictures of his wedding day! And even after I reminded him that HE had hired ME to do just that for him, he still insisted that he use his camera to get his own pics! :) Reggie… you crack me up! All I can say is if your day job doesn’t work out… you’ve got a place on our team for sure!
We had a wonderful team working with us that day and thank Signature Events for pulling off a gorgeous wedding!!!! Also, thank you to Jennifer Raddack with O’Grace Photography for second shooting with me on this day! Whew… it was a busy day with everyone running late, but man oh man… did we work hard to get these great images for them! I couldn’t have done it without such a great team!

This little guy was a total angel during our whole session! I am really excited that I was able to get these images for my good friend, Jenni… This is her third baby and for those of us who have 3 kids (or more), you know how hard it is to take the time to focus on just them. My house is full of images of Parker - the oldest… and I am so sad to say that I never even unwrapped the baby book from the plastic wrap for my Kate! Poor girl! I never did keep track of her first tooth… first word… or first time she rolled over. And unfortunately, she will probably be the only one who cares as she gets older!
Anyway, moving back to Damon… such a sweetie, and I’m happy to have got to get a few of these sweet images for them.
