Lauren & Blake’s Villa Siena Wedding

This wedding is definitely memorable!  Lauren and Blake are just incredible to work with.  They are kind, thoughtful, and very easy going… pretty much the dream couple!  Lauren’s mom, Pam, did much of the leg-work while Lauren and Blake tried to get settled into life controlled by the United States Navy.   And wow… she did an amazing job!  She thought of every detail and had everything so organized.

But this was also the wedding where my flash and back up flash both went out during the evening… my “trigger” finger was smashed in an iron gate (and 4 weeks later is still black and tender)… my pocket wizards (radio controlled slaves) were acting up… and I started to come down something which 2 days later found out was the swine flu!  So, yes… memorable on all parts!

I have such an amazing assistant and second photographer!  LaTricia really stepped up and became an amazing lighting assistant.  The video light has never been used so much during a wedding… and wow… I really think I am going to start using it a lot more during the reception.  Some of my favorite shots were captured at this wedding.  I am grateful for a dear friend, Andrea, that got out of her sick bed to run over a THIRD flash for us to use.

The best part… I had a blast at this wedding.  I love a challenge and LOVED being creative and pushing myself to really explore alternative lighting.  It also confirmed to me at how AMAZING the new Canon 5D Mark II is.  Wow… I honestly can’t imagine not having that camera in  your bag as a wedding photographer.  The ISO range on the camera is amazing.  This is my 14th year of shooting weddings and I still get excited!  I thrive on the energy, excitement, and stress… I love the challenges each wedding bring, and I still can’t wait to run home and download the images.

Lauren and Blake… you guys are beautiful.  This sneak peak is a little long, but I had a hard time narrowing it down.

Such a sweet moment between father and daughter during dad’s toast.

OK, here is one of those “shoot the flash isn’t working” moments.  Love my video light and this is probably one of my favorite bouquet tosses.  LOVE IT!

Richards Family at Kierland Commons

These guys have been on the blog many times over the years… we have been great friends for quite some time - you know, pre-kids days…

I think Mandy’s kids are just about as familiar with my camera as my own…  but I know which ones I prefer to photograph… the ones I don’t have to get ready or threaten, bribe, and plead with.  And how can you not just love Grace’s BIG BLUE eyes and Jackson’s mischievous grin?  Mandy is always up for trying something new and different, but sadly, we just don’t make the time to do all the fun ideas she has.  One of these days… before they grow up too much!

And now my all-time favorites from the session… the family portrait… real. life.  Funny, though… because I seem to have a few just like this from years past.  :)

Jennifer Garbett — Oh my goodness! What gorgeous pics of Mandy's family! Such beautiful kids, Grace's beauty always kills me! I'm pretty sure that shot of Grace in the yellow pettiskirt sitting up needs to be a huge canvas =) or at the very least a huge print! Love it, great job Marnee and Mandy =)   ( November 17, 2009 @ 1:14 am )

Anne — I can never get over how amazing Grace's curls are! Oh - and the rest of the family looks great too! :)   ( November 18, 2009 @ 1:38 pm )

Christine — UHM, is this a family portrait? It looks more like a GAP campaign! GORGEOUS!!!!!!   ( November 18, 2009 @ 1:41 pm )

Mandy — What a crazy family! Oh, wait ... it's mine.:) Such goof balls, but thank you so much for capturing the "real us." Maybe one day we will get around to putting a collage together of all the pics where Kelly is "doing his own thing." :) Love it!!! Thank you so much. We had a great time as always.   ( November 18, 2009 @ 10:11 pm )

Holiday Card Samples

Here they are… whew… sample holiday cards.  It is hard for me to show off samples, but I really customize these to fit your style, image, and message.  But, this is a starting point.  All these cards can be made into a flat (2-sided) card or a fold over or tri-fold card.  The first few designs show folded cards.  The final designs just show the front of the card.  The back can contain multiple images and text as well.  There is no design fee for going with one of these designs and we will modify it to best fit your style.

If you would like a totally custom card, I charge $95.00 to custom-design a card.  These include photocards, press-printed flat cards, or the folded card.  We can incorporate multiple images, text, and greetings.

All cards are either 5×7 or 5×5 and include envelopes.  There are three printing styles available- photocards, flat cards, and folded cards.  Pricing is quoted for sets of 24.

PHOTOCARD (printed on photographic paper)

24 - $37.50

FLAT CARD - 2 sided (press printed on high quality cardstock, similar to greeting cards - can be printed in fine art linen, watercolor, standard gloss, and metallic pearl (15% upcharge.)

24 - $50.00

FOLDED CARD (press printed card style, similar to greeting cards - can be printed in fine art linen, watercolor, standard gloss, and metallic pearl printing available on all 4 sides)

24 - $75.00

And now for the samples.  Remember, text and colors can be modified…

Schroeder Family at Kierland Commons

Gina is an amazing make-up artist that I have worked with several times, and I am so glad that I had the opportunity to photograph her family.  Check out her website if you need a great make-up artist that could come to you for your own portrait session.  She does amazing work and is so easy to work with.  Click here to view some of her models we photographed a while back.
