Happy Fourth of July! OK, I know it is the 17th, but we can still celebrate!

My mom and I took the kids up to Pinetop to play in the cool weather for the week. My dad and Mike joined us for the holiday weekend, and we had a BLAST! It was perfect weather! The kids were able to run around outside, ride bikes, hike, and play.

I am so excited that the boys are FINALLY getting to the age where they start playing together. Usually not hugs and smiles all the time - OK, so usually they are creating mischief and fighting, but they are doing it TOGETHER, and that’s what counts, right?

This is very classic… Parker starts something, and Ryan is right there, trying to keep up… and now, Kate wants to make sure she is not left out! She MUST do everything her big brothers do!

Do you see why this little girl pretty much has us all wrapped around her little finger? I know this is going to come back and get us one day, but for now, she WINS!

On July 3rd, we went into Show Low and attended the Rodeo. It was a BLAST! The kids absolutely loved it! Again… if the boys can do it, so can Kate. I love this series!

Then for the 4th, we went back into Show Low to the high school there. They had a big carnival set up - bounce houses, food, games, a band… we had a blanket and sat out enjoying the incredible weather and having a great time. Mike has been training for a marathon, so the boys have been very interested in running lately, they were THRILLED with the track that went around the field here…

And probably one of my favorite pictures of the whole week… Parker and my parents on the blanket getting ready for the HOUR long fireworks show to start. We all had such a great time! It was probably one of the best 4th of July’s! It was the first time we had taken the kids to go see fireworks (usually we are swimming and catch a glimse from our house), so this was a real treat. And so much more enjoyable up north rather than sitting in 105 degree weather in Scottsdale!
