Ahhh… the next destination… another BEAUTIFUL country, Jamaica. Again, loved the lush hills and beautiful clear water. Here’s a view of the port from our ship:

We had another amazing day full of firsts for us… it started here:

(And yes, that little blue sign says please do not climb the falls.) But hey, no problem, mon!
We started the morning out swimming with some dolphins. Let me tell you… the water was FREEZING! OK, it was like 78, but that was too cold for me. It took a minute for me to get adjusted, but I managed, and really enjoyed swimming with these guys. They are strong and smart animals… and have been trained to have quite the sense of humor!

If I knew what was coming next, I might have spent the day with the dolphins. I’m not so sure if the next few animals were quite as fun to hang out with:

(I can’t believe I am actually posting that terribly unflattering picture of me, but for goodness sake’s, I’m holding a SNAKE. Not holding, letting it wrap itself around me. This deserves some applause ladies and gentlemen. I better be getting points from my sons in the future about this one!)

Just in case anyone is confused, that’s not Mike. But, I think it might have been if they weren’t asking $200 for the OPPORTUNITY to hold a shark and HAND feed it live fish. Funny thing is, I think I totally would have done it!

Next we headed to Dunn’s River Falls to hike UP the 600′ waterfall. I learned it is a famous location for a James Bond movie - Dr. No. I honestly have no clue what the scene was, but Mike tried to get me to re-enact it by walking out of the waterfall. Ha ha! Apparently I wasn’t as sexy as a Bond girl because all he could say was, I think you need the white bikini to make it work! Thanks honey. I just climbed a freakin’ waterfall… I wasn’t going for sexy!
The falls were amazing, though. I think this was our very favorite thing the entire week. It was absolutely beautiful, and so fun to climb a waterfall! We climbed the first time with a guide - a Jamaican guide, which made it quite fun. Then we went back again to climb on our own and explore some of the little pools and little falls.

We had a few minutes to spare on our way back to the ship, so stopped by a souvenir shop where we found the perfect t-shirts for our boys…
“Jamaica me crazy.”
