I just had to post a sneak peak of some of the pages from Emily & Jed’s album. Keep in mind these are bound in a 12×12 book, with each pagespread measuring 24″x12″. Oh… it’s going to be BEAUTIFUL!

5 1/2 hour drive. 10 hours of wedding fun. 5 hours sleep. 5 1/2 hour drive home. Yes… it was a whirlwind! But, absolutely AMAZING. My husband, Mike, and I were guests and photographers at our friends’, Christine & Mike’s, beautiful Vegas wedding. The eloped to the fabulous Wynn Resort/Casino with just a dozen friends in attendance. It was intimate, beautiful, and fun.

We were able to shoot at the Neon Boneyard that afternoon - which was soooo fun… and spend a little bit of time walking around the resort. Honestly, I could have shot all night there… there were so many great areas and Christine was a true natural and so much fun to photograph.
There are lots of fun images, but I know Christine is excited to announce her wedding and show off some images, so here is just a sneak peak to tide everyone over until we can get through them all.
Christine, I am so grateful to be a part of your day. It was amazing. You looked amazing. And the wedding and dinner was just perfect. I ate enough to hold me over for a whole year, and swore I would never eat again… but honestly, it only lasted until 9am the next morning.

Congrats Natalie & Tyler! I had a great time on Saturday with you, even if I took us all over Old Town only to get caught in some culinary festival lock-out of the civic center! Oops. Luckily, it was a beautiful spring day and I think we all enjoyed the nice morning walk! :) We all enjoyed walking, right?

This one is for you, Tyler!

Aimee and Brandon decided to see each other before the wedding and knock out some KILLER photos! These are my FAVORITE sessions… We get to play, have no time restraints or stress… just an evening dedicated to making BEAUTIFUL images. Their wedding is next Friday, so we have plenty of time to get some of these printed and displayed at the wedding… oh, the guests are in for a treat! And the best part… the majority of photos of the bride and groom are DONE, so they get to sit back and really enjoy their day with the guests.
It is always fun to get dressed up and wear that dress on multiple occasions! Good for you Aimee and Brandon… you have some great images to choose from. (I only have a few selected now, but will include all of them with your wedding proofs).
About 90% of my couples do see each other before the ceremony, but maybe only about a 1/4 of them will do a pre-wedding day shoot. What did you do? What were your thoughts? Was it an important decision for you?
I would love to hear from some of the more traditional couples out there… how do you decide which traditions to hold on to? Forgive me for being direct… I don’t mean to offend anyone by this comment, but in a society and time when traditions have lost their meaning, I am often curious as to why some still hold such a significance. The tradition of not seeing each other before the wedding dates back to the time of pre-arranged marriages where the bride was veiled and not revealed in *fear* that the groom would run before the ceremony. I have seen a LOT of different weddings, but have yet to participate in an arranged marriage, yet this is still a very emotional tradition for some couples.
I want to continue this in another post after I get some feedback from you… so please, leave your comments.
For now… enjoy the beautiful Aimee and Brandon. (OK, handsome Brandon.)

Our assistant for the day… Andrea (thank you by the way), asked how I know this great family. Well… here it goes: Chanel’s mom, Dawn is the daughter of my mom’s uncle’s wife. Did you catch that? Yeah, we had to think about it to. Needless to say, they are a great family and great to call family (in whatever distant or distorted way possible.) I’m grateful I get to photograph these guys every once in a while just to catch up… since life gets so busy and it seems like we just don’t get together all that often any more.
Well, Chanel was a trooper… getting up to spend the morning as a superstar model on the day of PROM! I can’t wait to see a prom picture, Chanel… I hope you send one this way.
Anyway, here is the beautiful senior:

Please email me or leave a comment below if you need the password to see all of the images from this session. Thanks Chanel! You are beautiful!
