Not much time tonight, but I really want to post a few images from this amazing wedding last weekend… there will be more to come, but for now, ENJOY! The wedding took place at the Arizona Country Club. It was beautiful!

I am loving this name… although I totally got it wrong when mom first told me over the phone… sorry about that! And I am loving all of the hair this little girl has.
She was just 5 days old - perfect age for her first modeling gig. I think she did pretty well, don’t you think?
I love the random smiles newborns give while they are dreaming. Must have been a really good dream there in daddy’s arms.
Thalia was a week over her due date and wow… what a difference that makes! She is one strong little girl. I think I tried 4 or 5 times to wrap her up nice and tight and she kept pulling those cute little arms out and stretching out the legs as far as she could! I guess she was done being confined! Mom said she they saw her sucking her thumb in the ultrasound pictures… how cool is that?
I think this is one of my very favorite mom/newborn shots. It just makes me smile.
And on a totally different note… leave me some comments… I’m feeling really neglected here. I see you reading my blog, but am I not posting anything interesting lately? What do you think of the images? Send some love to Thalia if you are enjoying them…
I haven’t received any comments about our SPRING FOR CHARITY event! Wow… what a let down. I know Jennifer made a post about blog love (or lack thereof)… maybe everyone is just being really quiet lately. It doesn’t take much to encourage us… but it is always nice for a little feedback now and then!
Did that sound too whiny? I’m sorry… but I thought if I paired it with a really beautiful newborn you would forgive me!

I am so excited to finally announce our SPRING FOR CHARITY promotion! I am so grateful for my good friend (and amazing photographer), Jennifer Garbett with PhotoJenic, for introducing this idea and really working hard on getting this promotion organized. It should be an incredible day, and the best part is we will make a difference in the lives of valley children!
So… come support our photography event to benefit the CHILD CRISIS CENTER by participating in a mini photo session with our adorable baby chicks. We have partnered with Little Scholars Academy on 43rd Ave and Bell to host the Spring for Charity Festival. In addition to your mini photography session, there will be a bounce house, crafts, food, and many activities for kids of all ages.
Please call now to reserve your spot and help us help valley children. For $75, your 10-minute mini session will include a 12×18 wall portrait and a $50 donation will be made to benefit the Child Crisis Center.
We will also be offering the option to add on spring or Easter cards or gift prints.
We only have 25 spots available, so please call now! We expect to book up quickly!
623.935.5513 - Jennifer Garbett will be taking all reservations.

I have a list of things I want to blog about, but I keep getting pulled away by all the great shows right now. As my nights approach 11pm and my back aches from sitting at the desk for too many hours, I really have a few decisions to make… work on my blog… or watch one of the many shows hanging out on the DVR - Lost… 24… Life… House… or Grey’s Anatomy… OK, and we haven’t even started with the reality shows… the AMAZING RACE, American Idol…
BTW, what did we do before DVR? My kids don’t know how to get up from a show to go to the bathroom without PAUSING it. They can’t understand why at Nana’s house Diego isn’t on 24/7 and they actually have to WAIT for the air time or why they can’t just REWIND it if they didn’t catch something…. but I digress…
So, why is Jack such a popular name in these shows (I can go back at least 5 years and all of our top favorites have had a JACK)?
And which one is really your favorite?
I really am addicted to them all and probably need some serious help, but actually realized this week how inspirational they are (OK, not the reality shows) to my photography. I LOVE designing and creating albums and have learned to see scenes horizontally a lot more. I have talked to a few photographers that only shoot horizontally which seemed a little odd at first, but if you think about it - it really is an interesting way to see the story. All of our TV shows are shot and formatted for the 16:9 ratio… pretty close to an album pagespread.
I’m starting to drive my husband crazy as we watch these shows and I comment about the cinematography during the scene. It really is inspirational and amazing to see the way angles, light, depth of field, and shooting through things really helps set a scene.
So, it may just be a big fat JUSTIFICATION, but I am going to sit back and enjoy an episode of LOST and get inspired… and probably a little more LOST. Really… I can’t be the only one, right? There IS a point to this show, right? Not some sick twisted game the creators came up with to suck hours, days out of our lives just to see how long and how many of us stick around?

I almost completely forgot to post this slideshow of Rachael and Chase’s wedding. I’ve had so many different things going on lately that this slipped through the cracks. I still want to talk about my amazing time at WPPI, but that will be another post, another day…
