Courtland and Steve’s Wedding

Wow!  This was amazing.  Courtland wanted a Parisian wedding, and she did it!  She had thought of every detail.  It was fun to be a part of this day.

I really did something quite different when it came to editing.  I wanted to give my own “french” interpretation on the images.  As I started to edit them, I really wanted to work on the album layout at the same time to make sure that I was creating the look I thought I wanted.  So… thanks for being patient with me on this one, but I have it all completed and WOW!  I’m loving the final album.  (Don’t worry… I’ll give a sneak peak.)

I have never spent so much time editing a wedding before!  All of the layers and steps needed to create this look was very time-intensive.  The files were HUGE, and my new MAC computer (which is not supposed to crash) froze several times a day.  I spent more time restarting and re-booting the computer than I did actually designing!  AHHHH!

Anyway, I do hope you enjoy.  I would love to get lots of feedback on what you think about the look.  And, Courtland, I do hope that my interpretation of  your “french wedding” is just what you hoped for!

Now the pics.  There are a LOT… so enjoy.  And make sure you scroll down to see the album pages.

Her dress is amazing!  Look at all of this detail.

Their reception was held at the McDowell Mountain Marriott.  I love this venue… the staff is amazing to work with and these arches are just so great for photos!

These guys are great!  I really had a blast working with them.  Remember the fun engagement session we had?  Click here to see the unbelievable image we captured.

This church is so beautiful.  It was my first time shooting at St. Bernard of Clairvaux.

And now for a few of the album pages.  Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.  It is quite different from the more simple, clean style that I usually design with.  I think I am liking the change, but what do you think?

OK, and now for the best for last (HA!).  I told  you that Courtland thought of everything, right?!?!  Well, she really, truly did.  She had berets for all of us working the event to wear.  I was thinking that we were going to get to go to Paris as well for the honeymoon… come on… we would TOTALLY FIT IN!  Thanks Mandy for all your help on this one… as always, you did a great job and you look great in the beret!

The couple seems so cute and fun and you made such an amazing layout to compliment their photos and theme! For anyone who doesn't realize how truly long this takes...props, I know that it does and don't know how you pulled it off with 3 little kids! Good job.   ( June 17, 2008 @ 12:51 pm )

Mandy — These turned out great! Much different from your other layouts but as always, absolutely amazing! It was such a fun wedding and one I will always remember. I think you truly captured every aspect of it and gave the photos the perfect final touch.   ( June 18, 2008 @ 12:59 pm )

Brother and Sisters

For their second photographic debut, twins Maren and Mitchell shared the spotlight with their older sisters, Madison and Pyper.  However, I think the older sisters stole the show today.  What do you think?

Happy (late) Anniversary Alli and Shane!

I knew this was bound to get me in trouble… I really have a lot of good intentions and some are even good ideas.  My goal with this is to get myself organized so I can stay on top of the anniversary wishes.  So, if I happen to miss your anniversary, please FORGIVE me… send me a quick email to remind me, and I promise to do better.

This is Shane and Alli… I missed their first anniversary two weeks ago.  They got married in Sedona and were so much fun.  I got to take my hubby up to the wedding to assist with me.  It was a blast to spend a whole day with him (WITHOUT KIDS)… yeah, I was “working” but really, are weddings, work?!?!?  :)

Happy Anniversary to you two!  I hope all is well.

Cannon | Arizona Wedding Photographer | Arizona Lifestyle Portrait Photographers - Marriott Photography — [...] I was so excited to photograph this little guy.  His parents, Alli and Shane, stare down at me everyday as I sit at my computer… you see I have a 40×60 canvas wrapped print of them sitting against a GORGEOUS tree along Oak Creek in Sedona.  (Click here to see the image).
