Disneyland

I am really having a hard time with this whole blog thing.  How much personal stuff do I add?  I would love to keep a running journal about my family and what inspires me in photography, but I also want to keep this professional.  I would love feedback and opinions… so please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Here’s some more from our CA trip last week.  I’m slowly going through the 1,000+ images and will post as I get a moment.

I love this series… I really don’t need to say a word, as a picture truly is worth 1,000 words.  All I have to say, is when we were done, he didn’t say a word… just made the sign for “MORE”.  Hmmm… this kid must love torture!  Sorry the pics are so blurry… that’s what you get with a point and shoot on a rollercoaster holding on to your four-year old with the other hand.

Jane — Love the series! Ryan's terrified face is priceless!   ( May 21, 2008 @ 1:18 am )

Mandy — I hadn't seen your pictures from your trip to Disneyland yet. These are great. The last picture of Ryan is priceless and I am a bit surprised that after he asked for "more!" What a crazy kid!   ( May 21, 2008 @ 3:29 pm )

Anne — I'd have to say my favorite part of the serious is the looks that Mike is making... priceless! He really seems to be enjoying the ride... In response to your personal vs. professional question I think adding in your personal twist is great! Maybe you could create another "page" on here that separates the professional and personal stuff.   ( May 22, 2008 @ 6:11 pm )

Jen — I bet Brennan wouldn't even get on this ride and he's turning 6!!! Good job Ryan, love it! Bring on the personal girl...we love it and I think clients can learn more about you and who you are reading about some of your family stuff! I say keep it mixed, but you knew that I am sure =)   ( May 22, 2008 @ 11:12 pm )

Lindsay Klinck — Hi Marnee! Ever since I received your email stating that you were going to start your blog, it has become a weekly thing that I make time to look at! Not only do I love hearing about what's going on with you and your family, but getting a chance to look at other people's wedding pictures immediately takes me back to our wedding day! I can't thank you enough for capturing the spirit of that day...our photo album will be a constant fixture on our coffee table (and looking through it will never grow old). Hope all is well...Lindsay Klinck P.S. To answer your question...I truly enjoy about the personal aspect of your blog :-)   ( May 27, 2008 @ 1:18 pm )

Kristy and Lee

I just got back from this shoot with Kristy and Lee.  They have been married for three years now… well, next week, right?  HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BY THE WAY!  They are starting the process for adoption and needed some pics of the two of them.  They are such a cute, fun couple… and so photogenic.  Seriously, who wouldn’t want to pick them?  Best of luck, you two!

Here’s a sneak peak of what we did.

Second Shooter

I had a blast tonight!  I decided at the last minute to tag along with LaTricia at Kerri and Chris’s Wedding. I am good friends with Chris’s sister and brother in law, and thought it would be fun to say hi and grab some shots as well.  It has been YEARS since I have been a second shooter at a wedding… probably at least 10 years.  It was sooo much fun to tag and get all the images I wanted and not worry about anything else.  I got to try out some new techniques and just play.  I just had a great time and hope to do that again soon. To all my photographer friends… keep me posted on a cool wedding that I can come tag along!

And to LaTricia… great job!  It was fun to see you in action!  It was hard not to take charge like I normally do, but you did great, and I know that Kerri and Chris and their friends and family are going to be thrilled with the result.  Thanks for all you do!

Cindy and Don

These guys got married last December and had a beautiful reception at the Copperwynd Resort in Fountain Hills.  Everything was beautiful.  I really enjoyed working with these two.   They are so much fun, really laid back, and just sooooo nice.

Well, I broke my number one rule and told Cindy that her album was on its way from the album company.  I have learned that I need to wait to physically have products in my hand before I get everyone’s hopes up! Needless to say, we have had nothing but trouble, delay, and now probably a re-make.  Yes, these things do happen from time to time.  And of course, it had to happen to this great couple after I got their hopes up that the album was on its way!

Not that this will make up for having a physical album in your hands to show off, but at least you can look at your album layouts here and start dreaming about the day that I can deliver this beautiful book to you!  :)  I know it will be worth the wait!!!  I’m sorry that you had to have the wait, though.
